CABE membership gives you recognition from your peers, clients, and employers of your level of competency. From a student studying a relevant course, to an experienced professional within the built environment, CABE has a wide range of membership opportunities.
Please read the membership competency frameworks carefully before submitting your application for a membership grade.
To be awarded membership you have to demonstrate that you are working against the CABE Competency Frameworks. Since 1 January 2020 a revised membership grade structure, including a new grade of membership, linked to new Competency Frameworks has come into force. These new frameworks have been introduced to ensure that they meet current sector expectations and are fit for the future, enabling CABE members to be professionals that warrant the trust that clients and the public have of us.
Please note, in order to determine which academic or vocational qualification qualifies for each grade of membership CABE uses the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) as defined by OFQUAL (in England).
