Technical Report Submission (TRS)
To qualify for Chartered Membership under the Technical Report Submission, candidates must demonstrate professional competence evidencing considerable experience, prepare a Technical Report and attend a professional interview.

Equivalent Membership
CABE recognises that some professional bodies have levels of membership that require the same measurement of competency and are equal to the standards we expect from our members, therefore where appropriate, professionals may be considered
for membership.

Following the introduction of Flex 8670 and UK Standards for Professional Engineering Competence and Commitment (UK-SPEC) fourth edition, CABE introduced new Competency Frameworks in February 2023.

Submission Dates
We accept submissions throughout the year, although there are published submission and interview dates on our website that you are advised to work towards.
Professional Interviews
The cost of a Professional Interview is £250 for members and £300 (inc. VAT) for non-members.
Please be aware that you must do whichever one of the following is applicable to you before you will be permitted to register on your chosen interview date:
- Non-members: Apply online for Chartered Membership and pay the admin fee of £60 + VAT.
- Members: Apply online for an upgrade to Chartered Membership and pay the upgrade fee of £60.
