Development in Hong Kong SAR and Japan, and Project Management. Kyran is also an Owner and Director of Castic-SMP Machinery Corporation, which is one of the largest commercial washing, dry cleaning, flatwork and pressing equipment manufacturer
in the world set up as a joint venture company with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.
Before Kyran became a property investor and developer, he was one of the four founders of the largest architectural group in the world, Aedas, with 40 international offices and over 2,500 staff in 2012. Kyran was the Managing Director, Project Director
and Authorised Person upon many large-scale projects of the company, with an annual fee income of over HK$2.3 Billion. The company has won numerous international prizes in architectural and interior design, quality building and construction management.

The above-mentioned achievements are only some of the near 100 voluntary, institutional and charity organisations that Kyran is involved with. Kyran was elected 40+ Distinguished Fellow by the 40+ Association in the year 2012. In the year 2005, Kyran
was appointed by the HKSAR Chief Executive to be a Member of Commission on Strategic Development of the HKSAR.
In 2017, Kyran was awarded the Medal of Honour by the HKSAR Government for his outstanding professional achievements and services to the community. In 2020, Kyran was conferred the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's Honorary Fellowship
in recognition of his significant achievements and outstanding contribution to the Society. In 2023, Kyran was conferred the GBA institute’s GBA Honorary Fellowship in recognition of his huge contribution and exceptional accomplishments in the
development of the Greater Bay Area of China. The same year, Kyran was elected as Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing.
Mr Chu joined the Hong Kong Government as a Works Supervisor in the Public Works Department in 1977. He worked as an Assistant Factory Inspector in the Labour Department and retired after 31 years of service in the post of a Divisional Occupational
Safety Officer.
For over 20 years, he has been a part-time lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Middlesex University, Open University, Vocational Training Council, Hong Kong Institute of Construction and the Occupational Safety and Health Council. He
is currently a freelance Safety Consultant and has been invited by the Contractor’s Authorised Signatory Association as the Advisor in Workplace Safety since 2015.
Mr. Danny Chan is currently working in Macau as Vice President of Engineering & Facilities and is also working as a part-time lecturer for the University of Macau and conducting technical training for locals.
Danny has pre-opening experience for Disneyland Hong Kong, Wynn Encore, and 20 shopping malls across China.
He is registered as a Certified Senior Mechanical Engineer in The People’s Republic of China and as a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) with the Society for the Environment. He has also received
a PhD of Engineering Management, Master of Engineering, and Bachelor of Engineering.
Isacc Sunder Rajan Packianathan is currently the Chair of the CABE Malaysia Chapter, Committee member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia and a Committee member of the Sports Law Association of Malaysia.
Isacc is the Managing Director of Pro Consort Sdn. Bhd., a Chartered Building Surveying, Chartered Building Engineering, Project Management, Claims and Alternate Dispute Resolution Consultancy practice since 1999.
He received his B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Housing Building Planning from the University of Science Malaysia in 1985. He is a CABE Fellow (UK) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitration, Malaysian Association of Adjudication & Quantity
Surveyors Institute(UK) and Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia. He is a Member of the Malaysian Association of Project and Asset Managers, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors(UK) and Certified Member of the Association of Project Managers
Malaysia. He is also a Chartered Building Engineering and a Chartered Building Surveyor, RISM Registered Building Surveyor and CIDB Certified Construction Project Manager and a Registered Property Manager with the Board of Valuers, Appraiser,
Estate Agents & Property Managers.
He is on the Panel of the Asian International Arbitration Centre, Malaysian Institute of Arbitration, Association of International Arbitrators, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Malaysian Society of Adjudication in the
area of Arbitration, Adjudication & Mediation.

Being a dual-discipline degree holder in financial economics and law, Mr. Leong Hong Kit is now the head of portfolio management of MAC Consultant, selecting and controlling the company's business projects and programs in line with MAC Consultant's
strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. Being passionate and enthusiastic in the area of ADR and construction law, he is a construction claim consultant where he regularly acts as party's representative and provide consultation on contractual
claim matters.
In terms of professional achievements, he is a chartered quantity surveyor, a chartered building engineer and also a certified project management professional (PMP). He is also a qualified adjudicator empanelled in Asian International Arbitration
Centre (AIAC).
He is a certified HRDF trainer; it is his main interest to create a knowledge-sharing platform that allows the development of stronger relationships between the construction industry and the industry stakeholders. This also allows him to address how
industry creates the right context that encourages the players to be more responsive to industry's changing need and attaining sustainable competitive advantage.
Sam Chu has been Chair of CABE Singapore Chapter since 2019. Being a Fellow member of CABE UK has widened the horizon, to not only build physical structures, but also provide continual learning to building engineers with training outcomes that lead
to improved competency and stronger ethical values.
Singapore Chapter's dedicated committee comprises of talented professionals from disciplines, including Construction, Interior Fit-out, Mediation, Consultants and Contract Administration.
The coming years will hold many exciting possibilities and opportunities. The key to breaking the industry stereotype of being ‘fragmented with low productivity’ lies in our ability to enhance partnerships globally, by leveraging the power of collaboration.
Assured competency and professionalism with an ethical code of conduct as a building engineer shall become a culture – together we can impact a change in the way we build.
Tan has 40 years of experience in the built environment as a Resident Technical Officer (formerly known as Clerk of Works), and acted as a Site Supervisor appointed by Qualified Person (QP) following the Singapore Building Control Act.
Tan has overseen, supervised and inspected many construction projects with more than 60 residential dwelling houses, 20 factories, five electrical power sub-stations, two 60-metre-high duo-cell cement silos.
During his free time, he is active as a Grassroots leader (GRL) volunteer with the People Association. He is also Vice-Chairman for the Nee Soon Central's Community Emergency and Engagement Committee, helping to strengthen community resilience during
times of emergencies. GRL volunteers help to bring the people and government closer, gathering feedback from the residents, implementing the government’s social programme and helping to explain government policies to residents, as well as helping
those in need, so as to strengthen racial harmony and social cohesion in our community.
Through continued learning, Tan has attended night and weekend classes to obtain a BSc in Project Construction Management with Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, Scotland (2014-2016). Additionally, he earned a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management
at Liverpool John Moores University in 2018.
As the Singapore Chapter Secretary since 2019, Tan hopes to engage with fellow CABE members to provide a platform to share knowledge on the built environment, organise CPD programmes and networking sessions.
Aye Myat Thu, also known as Jin, began her career as a building engineer as well as a cost engineer, with the background of a Diploma in Building Technology and BA in English, in a construction company. Passionate and having acquired extensive experiences
in building engineering, she then decided to venture into quantity surveying and project management by attaining a degree from Heriot Watt University in Construction Project Management. In addition to that, she further enhanced herself by achieving
a certificate in Contract Administration from Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers and became a technical member since 2016.
With 19 years' experience specialising not only building engineering, but also quantity surveying and contract administration, the involvements are in negotiation and decision-making with client, consultants and contractors in all aspects of a construction
project, particularly cost and contract administration matters.
She has been a member of CABE since 2015 and as such is willing to contribute her best and deliver the content of the Association in practising the Association’s Code of Professional Conduct globally.
Isam Abbas stands as a testament to the epitome of academic and professional accomplishment. Armed with a bachelor's degree in engineering and a master's degree in construction project management, his educational foundation is fortified by extensive
real-world application in the dynamic arena of construction projects.
With an illustrious career spanning three decades, Isam has garnered a wealth of expertise in the engineering and construction domains. He has emerged as an adaptive project manager, director, contract connoisseur, and claim consultant, consistently
delivering excellence in project, contract, and commercial management.
Isam's accomplishments extend to orchestrating the seamless execution of multi-million-dollar building and civil engineering projects, emblematic landmarks, large-span structures, sprawling stadiums, and intricate mixed-use developments. He epitomizes
an all-encompassing understanding of the complete life-cycle of projects, orchestrating their inception, development, and triumphant completion.
Since ascending to the role of Regional Chair of the Qatar Chapter in 2017, Isam's unwavering commitment has been evident. He tirelessly collaborates with fellow stakeholders within the built environment to propel knowledge and collaboration to new
heights. His dedication extends beyond this horizon, working diligently to position CABE as a pivotal and positive influence within Qatar's developmental landscape and beyond.
James P. Waltz PE CEM FACFE FCABE is an acknowledged pioneer in the field of energy management. Prior to the Arab Oil Embargo of 1973, Mr. Waltz made a personal commitment to energy management as a principal focus of his engineering career. Since
that time, he has served as energy management program manager for the Air Force Logistics Command and the University of California's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
In addition he has worked as an energy management engineer for consulting and contracting firms. In 1981 he founded Energy Resource Associates for the purpose of helping to shape the then-emerging energy services industry - and did so through a multi-year
assignment to create a (still) very successful energy services business unit for a Fortune 500 temperature controls manufacturer.
Patrick has over 15 years’ experience in property and asset management, offering professional consultancy services to clients in the built environment within the public and private sector both in the UK and New Zealand for housing associations, local
authorities, trusts, and insurance companies with a proactive approach to resolve complex problems.
Patrick is currently a Property Consultant for Maynard Marks in New Zealand (South Island) providing advice to clients to manage their assets, resolve technical issues and help clients realise opportunities and value with their property asset.
He has provided technical advice to insurance companies, lawyers and a crown entity to assist in the settlement of earthquake damage buildings in (Christchurch) New Zealand. Patrick is an advocate in raising the standards and professionalism in the
built environment through developing individuals’ awareness of continued professional development and obtaining professional recognition.
