Residential Surveyor Section

Residential Surveyor Section

 Residential Surveyor Section

CABE’s Residential Surveyor Section (RSS) is designed to provide residential surveyors with
an additional level of competence to help set themselves apart in a crowded marketplace.

The RSS sets a benchmark for surveyors working on residential property and gives you a way to prove your competence and be recognised for your high standard of work. The RSS also creates a pathway to CABE Chartered Membership for residential surveyors.

About the section

There are three levels of Residential Surveyor Section membership.
Each level recognises the qualifications, skills and knowledge at
different stages of your career:

  • Technician Residential Surveyor
  • Associate Residential Surveyor; and
  • Residential Surveyor.

Why join the RSS?

Becoming a member of the RSS gives you:

  • enhanced professional credibility
  • access to a community of professional peers; and
  • evidence of your tested competence in a specialised role.

Application Process

By assessing your competence based on your qualifications and experience, we can offer you a route regardless of which stage in your career you are at.

During the three-stage application process, you will be asked to:

  1. explain how you meet the competences outlined in a tailored framework for residential surveyors
