What is CPD?

CPD is a range of activities and training that professionals undertake to maintain their professional competence. CPD is essential for you to develop individually and professionally. By regularly undertaking CPD you can enhance your skills and knowledge ensuring that you maintain and improve your skillset throughout your career.

CPD can take many different formats and identifying your training and development needs enables you to tailor your CPD to your individual requirements.

Why do you need to undertake CPD?

As Building Engineers, you work in a rapidly changing industry and it is imperative that you are aware of changes to standards, legislation, processes and materials and how this impacts your role. Without regular CPD your qualifications and knowledge will become outdated. CABE Chartered Members are required to undertake 35 hours CPD a year and they are expected to keep a record of their CPD online.
