Timber frame construction is one of the most commonly used building types in the UK. But the Health and Safety Executive and the Structural Timber Association have identified fire risk with timber frames needs close management, especially during the construction phase. This CPD looks at the guidance in detail,
and reviews testing carried out by ROCKWOOL to enable mitigation of fire risk during construction.

About the Speaker

Based in the Midlands, Sam brings over 8 years of experience in the construction industry, including 4 years with Rockwool.

In his current role, he collaborates closely with architects to ensure the correct specification of high-performance insulation solutions, with a strong emphasis on non-combustibility and fire safety.

Sam also  provides expert guidance on building regulations and technical documentation, helping to deliver safer, compliant, and sustainable projects across the region.
