
This course provides a thorough update on the latest developments in the next
revision of Part L in England known as the Future Homes Standard.
Event Summary
Delegates will cover the background to the standard as well as what has been proposed in recent Government consultations. This will provide an insight into how the construction of new homes will change following their introduction.
Additionally, the course will examine the proposed replacement to energy rating methodology used within Building Regulations known as the Home Energy Model. Delegates will understand the changes that the Home Energy Model will introduce when it is implemented with the Future Homes Standard.

New Build Dwellings Manager | Elmhurst Energy Systems Limited
Jason Hewins leads Elmhurst Energy's New Build Dwellings Team, which is responsible for providing technical support and guidance to Elmhurst members who undertake SAP assessments, airtightness tests and overheating assessments to demonstrate compliance with Building Regulations.
Jason has been with Elmhurst for more than a decade and attends meetings with Government and the wider industry in regards to future changes to Building Regulations and the energy rating methodologies that are utilised within them. Jason regularly presents information on changes to energy efficiency standards in Building Regulations to Elmhurst members and the wider construction industry.
