Terms & Conditions – CABE Awards

Gold Service Award

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean the acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • To be eligible to receive the Gold Service Award (referred to below as ‘the Award’) the nominee must hold a Chartered membership grade (i.e. MCABE, MCABE C.Build E, FCABE C.Build E) and must not be a previous recipient of the Award nor a current, past, or elect member of the CABE Presidential Team.

  • All entries must be made using the official entry form available here.

  • The entry form must be submitted via email to events@cbuilde.com.

  • CABE will, at its discretion, accept additional supporting information via other mediums/file sharing websites.

  • Entries may be submitted throughout the year and CABE will, at its absolute discretion, consider nominations received in prior years, in determining award winners in subsequent years.

  • Entries may be submitted by any person or organisation.

  • Any entry which fails to demonstrate that the nominee has made a substantial contribution to the Association and to the built environment through the work done in their career, will be deemed invalid.

  • CABE accepts no liability for any inaccurate information contained within any submitted entry as it is the responsibility of the applicant to provide accurate information. 

  • CABE will at its absolute discretion disqualify any entries which it feels do not comply with these terms and conditions or where any form of bad faith is suspected.

  • CABE reserves the right to use material submitted in published form.

  • CABE accepts no responsibility for lost or incomplete entries. 

  • The CABE Board reserves the right to identify strong candidates for the Award independently of the member nomination process.

  • The CABE Board reserves the right to refuse entries without giving justification.

  • The CABE Board reserves the right not to issue an award if in their opinion no entry reaches the standard considered necessary.

  • The CABE Board reserves the right to revoke an award in circumstances where it is deemed, in its sole discretion, to be necessary. 

  • The decisions of the CABE Board will be final, and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.

Honorary Fellowship

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean the acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • To be eligible to receive a CABE Honorary Fellowship (referred to below as ‘the Award’) the nominee must have:
    •  made a major contribution to the built environment sector; and
    •  achieved a notable achievement in their own professional career.

  • Nominees must not now or at any time been a member of CABE.

  • All entries must be made using the official entry form available here.

  • The entry form must be submitted via email to events@cbuilde.com.

  • CABE will, at its discretion, accept additional supporting information via other mediums/file sharing websites.

  • Entries may be submitted throughout the year and CABE will, at its absolute discretion, consider nominations received in prior years, in determining award winners in subsequent years.

  • Entries may be submitted by any person or organisation.

Peter Stone Award

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean the acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • To be eligible to receive a Peter Stone Award (referred to below as ‘the Award’) you must not at any time have been a member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.

  • Entries must demonstrate that the nominee has made a significant contribution to the positive development of the industry. 

  • All entries must be made using the official entry form available here.

  • CABE will, at its discretion, accept additional supporting information via other mediums/file sharing websites.

  • Entries may be submitted throughout the year and CABE will, at its absolute discretion, consider nominations received in prior years, in determining award winners in subsequent years.

  • Entries may be submitted by any person or organisation.

Earl of Lytton Award

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean the acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  • To be eligible to receive a Earl of Lytton Award (referred to below as ‘the Award’) you must hold a paying grade of membership (student members are not eligible to apply) from the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.
  • Entries must demonstrate that the nominee has made a significant contribution to the positive development of the industry.

  • All entries must be made using the official entry form available here
  • CABE will, at its discretion, accept additional supporting information via other mediums/file sharing websites.
  • Entries may be submitted throughout the year and CABE will, at its absolute discretion, consider nominations received in prior years, in determining award winners in subsequent years.
