Hywel Davies, Head of Technical Insight at CABE, outlines the changes in the regulations and the new requirements for applications for approval of full plans.
It includes some feedback on the operation of the new regime over the first
15 months of operation.

 

The Building Safety Act has led to major changes in Part 3 of the Building Regulations relating to the giving of building notices or applications for approval of full plans. The Building (Higher-Risk Buildings Procedures) (England) Regulations 2023 introduce more comprehensive procedures for applications
relating to higher-risk buildings in England.
