New report on modern sustainability standards released by global green alliance

13 November 2024

Building Transition: Financing Market Transformation is a report published on behalf of the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), the Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC), the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Alliance HQE-GBC France.

These organisations have allied together on this call to action for the built environment to bring buildings up to modern sustainability standards. As stated in a press release on 12 November, this report “identifies a critical gap in the industry – while high-performing buildings have access to green finance and resources, most buildings remain locked out due to a lack of capital. The report offers key recommendations to address this challenge”. The mission of the initiative is to “unlock billions for decarbonising buildings at scale”.
