Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) registration from the Society for the Environment (SocEnv) recognises your work implementing, developing and advocating good environmental practices on the journey to a more sustainable future.

 

What is a Registered Environmental Practitioner?

Registered Environmental Practitioner | REnvPRegistered Environmental Practitioner’s work to protect and improve the environment.

Coming from a diverse range of professions they: 

  • have an underpinning knowledge of sustainability and environmental principles
  • apply their knowledge to consistently implement good practice
  • are committed to maintaining and upholding professional standards; and
  • recognise their obligations to society, their profession and the environment.
     

 

 

 


 

Why become a REnvP?

Registered Environmental Practitioner, and the post nominals REnvP, are globally recognised marks of achievement. It is a perfect fit for career development and can be used as a stepping-stone to become a Chartered Environmentalist.

 



How do I apply?

To become a Registered Environmental Practitioner you must:

  • hold CABE membership
  • have a level 5 qualification (e.g. HND) or have an equivalent level of skills, knowledge and understanding
  • have at least three year’s relevant work experience; and
  • be able to evidence that you meet the Society for the Environment Competences for Registered Environmental Practitioners
     

 

Step 1: Read through the Guidance

Step 2: Complete the application form

Once you have completed your application form, submit the form along with your CV, CPD record and personal development plan to the CABE Professional Review Team at socenv@cbuilde.com .

The team will review your application, and if successful you will be invited to proceed to Step 3: Competency Review.

 

Step 3: Competency Review Application

Once you have successfully completed Step 2, CABE will send you the Competency Review Application to complete.

The Competency Review allows you to demonstrate how you meet the competencies for REnvP registration

Once CABE has received your completed documents, these will be assessed by CABE SocEnv assessors before your application is progressed to Step 4: Application Outcomes.

 

Step 4: Application Outcomes 

If your application and Competency Review document is successfully assessed, you will be awarded Registered Environmental Practitioner and registered with the Society for the Environment.

If it is felt by the assessors that more information, or clarification, is needed you might be invited to attend a peer-led Professional Review Interview which will be used to further explore your competencies covered in your application. This interview will be conducted remotely using online software.
