The Construction Industry Council (CIC) has unveiled its new Corporate Plan for 2025–2030 which reflects CIC’s ambition to be the unified voice for construction professionals, shaping a resilient and future-ready industry.Front cover of CIC Plan 2025

The five-year plan outlines CIC’s commitment to leading change across four strategic pillars: Agility, Influencing and Advocacy, Collaboration on Key Policy Areas, and Effective Consultation and Communication. These priorities reflect CIC’s role as a unifying voice for professional bodies, research organisations, and institutions shaping the UK’s built environment. The plan will be underpinned by annual business plans and guided by transparent governance and measurable outcomes.

Ian Brant, Chair of CIC, said: “This plan is a call to action for the industry to help shape a safer, more sustainable, and inclusive built environment. CIC is dedicated to supporting our members and working across government and industry to ensure our collective goals are inclusive and impactful.”

Graham Watts OBE, Chief Executive of CIC, added: “CIC has championed the built environment professions for over 35 years, and this Corporate Plan continues that legacy with a clear, forward-looking strategy. This plan positions CIC to respond with agility to emerging challenges, while continuing to champion the interests of the professions we represent.”

The plan also shares CIC’s redefined purpose, to unite and empower built environment professions to drive meaningful change along with its ambition to be the authoritative voice of the sector, championing safety, sustainability, and inclusivity while shaping a resilient and future-ready industry.
