The University of the Built Environment (UBE) has published a new report outlining "a holistic approach to creating vibrant communities."

Titled Place Building - Developing Homes & Communities, the publication has been shaped by discussions from UBE's summer conference back in May, an event held in conjunction with the Construction Industry Council (CIC), The King's Foundation and the Edge in London.

As per the CIC, the report's key topics cover and provide recommendations for:

  • evidence for long-term placemaking
  • holistic design
  • fiscal reform to enable stewardship
  • innovative regional delivery models
  • community involvement in design
