HRB stock imageThe Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has released practical guidance to support those going through building control approval applications for new higher-risk buildings in England.

The guidance consists of seven notes, tackling different aspects of the application process, and is summarised within a single document called CLC Guidance Suite - Building Control Approval Application for a New Higher-Risk Building (Gateway 2).

Developed by the CLC, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) and industry experts, the publication aims to provide the baseline principles to guide those involved in both submitting and assessing applications for Gateway 2. It may also be useful for building control approval applications for work in an existing higher-risk building, notably Category A work, and potentially relevant to Category B work.

Get the full context of the guidance development by visiting the CLC's website, where you can also download the suite.
