The Welsh government have introduced The Building Safety (Wales) Bill to the Senedd, as well as publishing their formal response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry Phase 2 Report on the same day.

In a press release issued 7 July, Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government Jane Bryant announced that The Building Safety (Wales) Bill forms part of a wider programme of reforms aimed at improving safety in buildings, and is part of the Welsh government’s broader response to the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

That official response is now published as a report on the Welsh government’s website.
