A number of British Standards Institution (BSI) documents are out for public comment.
Several draft standards have been developed by the Standards Development BSI Group and are available to access by the public, who can also comment on the drafts. This allows for better understanding of the progress being made in areas that impact the built environment. Some examples of topics being covered by these draft standards include fixed firefighting systems, test methods for determining the contribution to the fire resistance of structural members, fire resistance tests for non-loadbearing elements, and fire detection and alarm systems. Several drafts will be closing throughout March, with others extending further into late spring. Access and peruse the documents via the BSI Standards Development website.
