Why Ventilation must be Independently Commissioned by a Third Party

Ventilation Webinar

This webinar by Barry Cope, Group Managing Director at ATTMA seeks to both inform and promote the use of independent third-party inspections
of ventilation systems.

With buildings becoming more and more airtight, the ventilation installation industry has been exposed as not fit-for-purpose. Many new-build homes are woefully unventilated, even if the ventilation technically complies with the regulations. Much of the issue is related to the quality of installation.

The person(s) installing the ventilation are signing off the ventilation as being appropriate, safe and providing adequate airflow, when indeed none of these are true. The current fail rate is in the high 80% for natural ventilation.
