CABE’s Hywel Davies receives Honorary Fellowship from the Society of Façade Engineering

The 2024 Façade Design and Engineering Awards took place on 6 November at Old Billingsgate, London, organised by the Society of Façade Engineering (SFE).

Amongst all the worthy winners being recognised for their achievements in this discipline was CABE’s own Head of Technical Insight, Hywel Davies, who received an Honorary Fellowship of the SFE for his outstanding commitment to the Society.

On this accolade, Hywel commented: “I am honoured to receive this award from the Society. I have greatly enjoyed working with them to raise awareness of the importance of façade engineers over many years. This was given added importance by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and I am pleased that façade engineering professionals are now recognised by government and insurers for their very specific knowledge and expertise.”
