CABE Competency Management System launched

Today (29 October 2024), CABE launches a brand new member benefit aimed at supporting your professional self-assessment.

The CABE Competency Management System (CMS) is an online portal dedicated to helping members identify gaps in their working knowledge/experience, and to then source and structure CPD to target those gaps.

It hosts the CABE Competency Framework, the CABE Building Inspector Competency Framework (BICoF) and membership grade detail for easy reference and personalisation.

You can log, save and adjust your competency objectives, build a development plan, and utilise the included, ever-evolving Learning Resources Library to bolster your CPD options. PDFs can be downloaded to aid you in goal conversations with your employer; it’s a simple, easy-to-use platform built with the prioritisation of your professional development in mind.

Kirri Porter-White, Head of Competence and Learning at CABE, commented: “In an industry where proving competence is so high on the agenda, CABE’s CMS has been introduced to support individual self-assessment. We believe that by investing the time in assessing your own competence, we are giving you the tools you need to enable true self-reflection and to establish your own individual professional goals.”
