CABE has struck a new equivalent membership agreement with the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Established in 2015 and based in Putrajaya, south of Kuala Lumpur, MBOT offers professional recognition to technologists and technicians from a wide variety of fields, including building and construction technology.

It has a mission to elevate the standing, visibility and recognition of its members as world class professionals. To date, it has over 90,000 registrants across its Graduate Technologist (GT), Qualified Technician (QT), Professional Technologist (Ts), Qualified Professional Technologist (Ts) and Certified Technician (Tc) grades, with approximately 24,000 of those working in the construction sector.

MBOT has been added to CABE’s rostrum of recognised organisations, i.e. professional bodies deemed to have levels of membership requiring the same measurement of competence and standards as expected from our members. In addition to the equivalent membership agreement, CABE and MBOT have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), representing the mutual intention for co-operation and collaboration between the two organisations. This understanding is the first step in opening up pathways for professionals to develop knowledge and skills across continents.
