The Revd. Kevin Fear

Focusing more on mental health is prevalent across the construction industry, and CABE wishes to support its members in this regard wherever possible.

Honorary CABE Fellow the Revd. Kevin Fear is a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England trainer who has spoken at several CABE events on the negative impacts of poor mental health across our industry.

He currently offers online MHFA courses twice a year for those looking to gain the knowledge and skills to spot the signs of a person experiencing poor mental health. The course aims to provide trainees with the confidence to start a conversation with that person, and the tools to signpost them to appropriate support.

For CABE members, the Revd. is offering his next autumnal course for a cost of just £40, covering the cost of workbooks, materials and postage for attendees. The course is divided into four sessions on a Monday and Thursday over a two-week period, starting at 9.30am and finishing at 1pm. The next sessions take place on 14, 17, 21 and 24 October and the £40 fee would need to be paid two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. The average cost for MHFA training courses can be around £350, so this offering is at a significant discount.
