CABE Best Final Year Students 2024 - University of Salford

				Three students from the University of Salford have been awarded the CABE Best Final Year Student Award across three different courses. For their hard work, they will be awarded with a years of free CABE Membership. A huge congratulations to the winning students:
 
  Emma Sykes - BSc Architectural Design and Technology  Nominated by her Lecturer, Dr Colin Stuhlfelder, who commented - 
  "Emma has demonstrated a remarkable exponential trajectory in her performance and understanding of architectural technology, moving from enthusiasm in design and environmental issues, through detailed and technical curiosity, to a graduate who is more than competent future technologist.
  Emma has been an excellent course representative and has proved herself to be a holistic designer, with design and supporting technologies, systems and building engineering being part of her considerations in delivering a project from its inception”.
  
 
    Liam Nolan - BSc Building Surveying Nominated by his lecturer, Scott Haverly, who commented -  "Liam is an exceptional student who has consistently shown the ability to learn, understand and lead others to help their understanding. His academic performance is excellent with the result of him being awarded a First and the highest overall mark on his cohort. 
  Liam has been incredibly eager to know more about all aspects of building surveying and is keen to develop both academically and professionally. He is respectful, clear an honest with his development and wants to be the best he can be. Liam has acted as a voice for students and has assisted with induction for new cohorts, all his traits and actions have earned him the Best Final Year Student Award”.
  
 
   Mitchell Heys - BSc Architectural Engineering   Nominated by Dr Maria Yioutani-Iacovides, who commented -
 "Mitchell has been an excellent student throughout his studies. He always has a very positive and quietly confident attitude towards learning and has a very hard-working ethic.  He enjoyed multiple challenges in learning and is very creative and inquisitive with a gentle attitude and character. Mitchell likes to celebrate his peers’ successes but is very humble about his own success.”
