CABE is pleased to share that the Association has passed a surveillance audit on its quality management system, meaning CABE remains ISO 9001-certified and therefore continues to meet an internationally recognised standard of service to its members.
This achievement feeds directly into CABE’s ongoing mission to raise standards and improve collaboration and competency. As the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) says, “implementing ISO 9001 means your organisation has put in place effective processes and trained staff to deliver flawless products or services time after time.”
The ISO 9001 standard operates across seven key principles which CABE’s quality management system must uphold, and show evidence of, in order to retain certification. Those principles are: 1.	Engagement of people 2.	Customer focus 3.	Leadership 4.	Process approach 5.	Continual improvement 6.	Factual approach to decision-making 7.	Relationship management
The recent surveillance audit – conducted by a company called Interface, who are accredited by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) – confirms that CABE’s quality management system remains operational and effective, and that the organisation as a whole continues to operate with integrity for its members and staff. Having had ISO 9001 certification in place since 2019, the Association is delighted to be maintaining this globally understood high standard in 2024, with the needs of our members at the heart of everything we do as we move forward with our new Presidential, Board and Executive Teams in place.
