COVID-19 Emergency Grant from CABE Benevolent Fund

Apply for COVID-19 Funding

Emergency COVID-19 Support

In these unprecedented circumstances, the CABE Benevolent Fund has taken never-before-seen measures to ensure that we can provide assistance for CABE members in this extraordinary time.

If you or a dependant have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic either financially or medically, we urge you to apply for the CABE Benevolent Fund Emergency COVID-19 Support Grant which can help bring a little reprieve. Successful applicants will receive a one-off amount of £500.00.

What you need to do

All you need to do is apply via the form below. Please note that this is not the same as the regular application for the CABE Benevolent Fund, which is still available and can be applied in conjunction with the COVID-19 grant, see below for details.

COVID-19 Benevolent Fund Application

What we do

CABE Benevolent Fund is a charity that exists to provide dedicated support to CABE members and their dependants. We understand that the effects of COVID-19 on the livelihoods and well-being of CABE members are very real, therefore, it was important to us to set up a separate application process to the regular Benevolent Fund, providing additional, rapid support for CABE members.

Who can apply

Any of the following CABE membership grades or their dependants can apply for the Benevolent Fund Emergency Grant:

  • Fellow
  • Chartered Member
  • Graduate
  • Associate
  • Technician
  • Retired.

This includes retired members or former members and their widows, widowers, children, and other immediate dependants of deceased, retired, or former members including member of ABE and IAAS.

Successful applicants will be awarded a one-off grant of £500.00.

This grant is independent of any application a member has, or is about to make, to the CABE Benevolent Fund - details of which can be found below.

How you can help

We understand that not all members require emergency support right now and are in fact looking to support their fellow building engineers. For those that are able to provide in these difficult and unprecedented times, we ask that you consider making a donation

"On behalf of the Trustees of the CABE Benevolent Fund, I would like to thank those who have made donations of any amount, the community will benefit hugely, and we are thankful for the mutual desire to support each other and thrive in this community." Robert Biggs, Chairman of CABE Benevolent Fund, April 2020.

CABE is fully operational during this time of isolation, so please don't hesitate to give us a call on +44 (0) 1604 404121.
