Group of workers onsiteThe Building Control Working Group (BCWG) is looking for new members.

Established in 2023 to support the Industry Competence Committee (ICC) in its ongoing remit to “consider competence across the wider built environment”, the BCWG is calling for more practising Registered Building Inspectors to join its ranks.

Current BCWG participants are ICC members who have specific, senior experience of the building control profession, in both public and private sectors. The objective of the group is to:

  • provide advice to both ICC and the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) on maintaining and improving competence across building control
  • help to identify, and prioritise, issues with the regulation of the profession as they arise, with a particular focus on competence
  • acting as consultees when requested by the BSR

If you are interested in joining the BCWG, you need to apply by Monday 7 April 2025.
