BSR call for evidence opened on Approved Document A guidance

High-rise building stock imageThe Building Safety Regulator (BSR) has put out a call for evidence to gather views on statutory guidance supporting Approved Document A (Structure) of the building regulations.

This is the authority’s first step in a review of Approved Document A as a whole. This call for evidence assists in deciding what should be included as part of that overall review, helping to ensure that, ultimately, the guidance is clear, fully researched and fully developed.

The window for responding to the call is to last for 10 weeks from 10 February 2025. Those wishing to participate may do so by completing an online survey (recommended by the BSR), emailing in their response or in writing. Whichever route you choose, it is best to confirm if your response is from an individual or being submitted as an official response on behalf of an organisation.

For full detail on the call for evidence, and on the ways to respond, visit the BSR’s consultations web page here.

To pose questions about the call, contact the BSR’s Technical Policy Team.
