The Construction Procurement Policy Unit in Ireland has issued a key update for all those working on civil engineering projects.

As per the update, the Civil Engineering Standard Method of Measurement 4th edition (CESMM 4) Revised is to be used for the preparation of Bills of Quantities/Pricing Documents on civil engineering projects in lieu of CESMM 3 for civil engineering projects being undertaken under the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF).

This must be used as of 1 January 2025 on all civil engineering projects commencing at stage 1 of the CWMF.
