The COSLA Conference Centre, Edinburgh, hosted the Scottish Government’s Building Standards Leaders Forum on 26 November.

Although this was the third such event, it was the first time it had taken place in person to recognise excellence in Building Standards across Scotland.

Sector leaders from across Scotland were in attendance to see the Minister for Housing, Paul McLennan MSP, present four National Excellence Awards, as well as hearing guest speakers from the Building Standards Division, University of Edinburgh and the Scottish Building Standards Hub.

As part of the celebration, there was also a presentation from Russell Watson, Learning & Development Manager at the Scottish Building Standards Hub, on the proposed new national leadership development programme, funded by Scottish Government.
There were also insightful discussions regarding the topics of boosting compliance and the Grenfell Inquiry Phase 2 Report recommendations.
