Scottish Building Safety Levy - A Consultation

The Scottish Government has launched a consultation on the proposed introduction of a new Building Safety Levy.

The levy would be an additional charge on new residential development, to be paid by housebuilders, and the revenue that would be raise will support the Government's work to remediate cladding in residential buildings.

Response to the consultation will directly support the development of a Building Safety Levy.

The consultation, which is available to download from the Scottish Government's website, is open until 18 November 2024, and CABE Members in Scotland are encouraged to take part and have your say.
