New Building Developments in Wales Consultation Summary

Having access to fast and reliable broadband is essential for homeowners today, and it is essential that this connection is consistent and future proofed so that it can adapt to the changing demands of residents.

Following the Welsh Government's consultation on New Building Developments: delivering gigabit capable connections, earlier this year, they have published a summary of views to the consultation

The consultation outlined their proposed changes to Part R (Physical Infrastructure for high-speed electronic communications networks) which if implemented will see, (amongst other things) developers having to ensure that all new homes are built with gigabit-ready infrastructure and gigabit-capable connections.
