Earlier this week the government updated its Working safely during coronavirus Construction and other outdoor work guidance to reflect the one metre plus social distancing requirement that is being introduced in England on 4 July.

In response the Construction Leadership Council has also updated its Site Operating Procedures and Version 5 is now available. The revised document now has further guidance on travelling to work, entry systems, canteens and staff areas, as well as advice on the new social distance requirements.

In other news, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has set out a new deal for Britain, a strategy to rebuild to aid the economic recovery.
