CABE and RICS have jointly developed sector specific guidance for building control professionals to assist in managing the risks of COVID-19 as construction sites reopen, titled; Beyond COVID-19: Recovery measures in building control in England as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

The document provides guidance on everything from plans, site operations, and safety considerations and good practice – we urge all of our building control members to familiarise themselves so that as an industry we can move forward together safely.

We'd like to thank our members for their enthusiasm in actioning guidances laid out by both the Government and professional bodies.

We are here to support you.

Please remember there are members in Scotland who also should be kept 'up-to date'. In Scotland we are classed as Building Standards Officers/Surveyors.

The best set of guidelines which has appeared to date. The only thing I would change is the title as .......measures in building control........ suggests that it is for that sector only which might cause it to be overlooked by non bc members. In reality the contents are generally applicable to all our members regardless of the sector.
