Since this post was initially released, we are happy to say that the CABE Benevolent Fund has successfully processed many applications. When, on 16 April, it was announced that lockdown in the UK would continue for at least another three weeks, we anticipated a second wave of applications, and would like to remind our members that they can still apply for the COVID-19 Emergency Grant. - Added on 20 April.
The CABE Benevolent Fund, in response to the Coronavirus crisis, has taken action to support members in these very difficult times by establishing a COVID-19 Emergency Grant. This single one-off payment of £500.00 to members and the widows, widowers, children and other immediate dependants of deceased, retired or former members who are eligible, aims to provide some assistance during these extraordinary times.

How you can help

Not all members will need to seek assistance, and some may be in the position to help fellow building engineers by making a to the Fund. Any donation to the Benevolent Fund will enable the Trust to further support others in this difficult and unprecedented time.

On behalf of the Trustees and all other members I would like to thank you for any donation – big or small.
