Dear members,

During this time of national emergency, it is imperative that we all come together and help wherever possible.

The NHS is currently finding itself in urgent need of personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect the thousands of nurses and doctors who are working tirelessly to treat people suffering from COVID-19.

The Construction Leadership Council has been in touch with the NHS London Hospitals Trust and is calling out to the construction industry for donations of any of the following equipment:

  • FFP3 respirator masks
  • Protective full-face visors (disposable or reusable, these must be transparent and without any holes or eye slits)
  • Full-face visors (reusable)
  • Safety goggles/glasses (that must cover the eyes)
  • Hand sanitiser or gel (at least 60% plus)
  • Full body (hazardous material) suits.

They are also asking for logistic/transport support.

If you, or your employer, can donate or offer support please contact Graham Watts, Chief Executive at the Construction Industry Council.

This is an important initiative and we encourage anyone who is able to help to do so.

Kind regards,

Ant Burd
