Following yesterday’s announcement by the UK Government of revised guidance to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 (Corona Virus); advising that people should stop all non-essential contact, travel, and gatherings of any size.

The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), in order to protect the safety of our members, visitors, and staff, has made the decision to postpone or cancel all external meetings, training, and events in the UK and Ireland until the end June 2020.

Wherever possible we will reschedule these activities to a later date or move these activities online, however, cancellations will include:

  • training at headquarters

  • regional events

  • buildeng conferences

  • professional interviews, and

  • face-to-face meetings.

We will also expand our provision and availability of online services, webinars, and training enabling continued support of our members during this period and help members to maintain their CPD obligations.

The COVID-19 virus is an unprecedented global situation, which is evolving on a day-by-day basis, but everyone at CABE is working hard to minimise the disruption and continuing to support our members through this challenging time.

We will continue to communicate assessing the on-going situation and will further revise our operations based on government advice if necessary.

Kind Regards,

Dr Gavin Dunn
Chartered Building Engineer
