The Society for the Environment (SocEnv), are committed to showcasing the expertise of their registrants. As part of their annual World Environment Day campaign, they are looking for case studies of projects which are helping to increase biodiversity in cities and the built environment.

World Environment Day, held annually on the 5th June, celebrates and promotes environmental awareness and sustainability across the globe. The Society for the Environment champions this initiative by creating awareness of the chosen theme each year, alongside SocEnv's network.

The UN have announced the theme for 2020 as ‘Biodiversity’. As with previous years, SocEnv are looking for case studies to help bring the campaign to life – providing practical, inspirational examples of biodiversity on your doorstep and the amazing work organisations and individuals are doing to help combat the UK’s decline in biodiversity. All case studies will be published via a dedicated webpage on the
SocEnv Website

If you have an idea for a case study to share, please provide details of the project involved, the purpose behind it and the impact it has had on biodiversity in the local area.

Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) is a Professional Body, licensed by the Society for the Environment to award Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) status.
